Synopsis[]
Tom enters a cat show hoping to win first prize all the while Jerry and Tuffy tries to sabotage his chance to win as revenge for being mistreated by him.
Plot[]
At the backyard, Jerry and Tuffy are drinking the lemonade from the jug. Suddenly, Tom yanks the cloth off the table causing Tuffy and Jerry to dive into the lemonade.
Jerry and Tuffy come out of the jug, and Tuffy takes the baguette and smacks the watermelon into Tom's mouth, which causes his tail to be shaped like a watermelon. Tom struggles to pull the melon from his tail, and it rips apart, so he uses the shovel to beat the mice and chases after them until he stabs the shovel on the ground, causing Jerry and Tuffy to crash into the shovel. Tom lifts up the mice and hits them like baseballs, sending Jerry and Tuffy flying into the wall, causing them to fall down the rose bush and get thorns.
Mrs. Two Shoes comes out of the door while holding a letter and gives Tom a letter to him for the cat show. Tom looks through the letter, so Mrs. Two Shoes says to him that he will be cat of class in extinction if he wins. Mrs. Two Shoes tells him to get ready because this will make all his dreams come through. Jerry appears from the rose bush, covered with thorns until he stops Tom walking, but Tom steps onto him. Then, Tuffy goes to Jerry and asks if it's fair that Tom's dream should come true but Jerry disagrees. So they plan on ruining Tom's chances of winning as revenge for mistreating them earlier.
At the cat show hosted by Buster and Lillian, Tom is entered along with the other cats. Tiger Cat runs and jumps through the hoop and goes into the tunnel and leaps onto the upside down and lands onto the ground. Tom appears in exercise outfits and he starts running and jumps over the first two hurdles.
Inside the studio, Tuffy presses the button which causes the third hurdle to lift Tom up. Tuffy presses the button again causing Tom to land on the ground but the platforms lift him up, and Tuffy pulls the lever where robotic hornets are about to attack him. Tom goes through the obstacle course and he swings through the rope and swings through the tar pit. Tuffy presses the button once more, which activates the mechanical alligators.
Tom leaps onto the mechanical alligators, but Lillian says they're dragon and one of them breaths fire at Tom's buttocks causing him to scream. However, the judges give Tom a perfect 10 much to Jerry's chagrin and Tuffy's apologies.
As Tom was getting ready for the talent competition, Jerry and Tuffy squeeze lemon juice into his perfume. After using it, Tom appears in the center ring to sing Pagliacci, Lillian's favorite clown-based opera. Suddenly, Tom's voices goes squeaky mode and sounds like a bird which gave him an idea much to Buster's surprise while Jerry facepalms. Tom does more of his bird calling for the big finish with the birds lifting him up into the air. The judge gives him another 10 while Jerry and Tuffy scowl.
Next is the beauty competition. Tuffy, disguised as an artist, helps Tom be prepared by putting hot wax on his eyebrows and rips them off. Then he paints his face showing makeup with lips and puts a pink hair wig on his head. Tom comes out showing his image earning another 10 again. Buster comments how the judge has really taken a shine to Tom, but Tuffy asked why and Jerry points showing the reason is that they are lookalikes. Lillian says Tom is just lucky as the cat winks to the audience.
So far, their three attempts backfire, actually earning Tom the judges' favor and points. However, slipping him a depilatory (as in hair remover) soon causes Tom's fur to fall out completely and with a countdown to 1, he quickly grabs the judge's hair to cover his nudeness and gets disqualified. Jerry and Tuffy, disguised as the adorable young kittens, win the grand prize as a last minute entry.
Both young mice shake hands as Buster and Lillian conclude this episode by saying "Goodnight, Everybody!".

Notes[]
- A John Kricfalusi-esque close up of Tom's unusually hairy eyebrows is present, possibly a nod to the thick-browed Tom of the Chuck Jones era. The other similarities to the Chuck Jones era are:
- The title card is animated, with the title flashing.
- This episode's title card possibly took influence from the title card of the Chuck Jones-era short The Cat Above and The Mouse Below.
- Some of the obstacles in the cat show bare resemblance to the obstacles in the 1982 game Pitfall! The same sound effects are used when Tom uses a vine to swing.
- This is the second episode that a human's faces were shown, which is the judge with pink hair. The first goes to Cat Got Your Luggage?
