Coca-Cola (commonly known as Coke) is a beverage created by Civil War Confederate colonel and pharmacist John Pemberton in 1886, having made a non-alcoholic version of his product he created a year earlier at his drugstore in Columbus, Georgia because of a prohibition law being passed. Coca-Cola is one of the most popular beverage brand in the world. Its chief competitor is Pepsi.
Tom and Jerry, along with a few Hanna-Barbera characters, were in a Cartoon Network commercial promoting Coca-Cola in 1996.
