Daws Butler (1976)

Charles Dawson "Daws" Butler (November 16, 1916 – May 18, 1988) was an American actor who specialized in voicing animated films and television series. He worked mostly for the Hanna-Barbera animation production company where he originated the voices of many familiar characters, including Yogi Bear, Quick Draw McGraw, Snagglepuss, Wally Gator, Huckleberry Hound, Augie Doggie, Super Snooper, Blabber Mouse, Peter Potamus, Hokey Wolf, Loopy de Loop, Lippy the Lion, Bingo the Gorilla of The Banana Splits.

Butler voiced Spike Bulldog, George, Butch Cat, and Tom Cat (only in Mucho Mouse) in the Tom and Jerry cartoons, Droopy in Deputy Droopy, Butch Dog in The Chump Champ, Southern Wolf in the Tex Avery shorts, Blast-Off Buzzard in CB Bears, the two-part spinoff Spike and Tyke and Morris Williams in The Tom and Jerry Show (1975) episode "Two Stars Are Born". He also voiced Jack in the 1974 short Alphabet Roll Call.
