Synopsis[]
On Friday night in the city, Detectives Droopnet and rookie Dripple are after a mad car thief called Dr. Scofflaw.
Plot[]
A take on Dragnet with Droopy and Dripple as police officers searching for a mysterious car thief, Scofflaw. Scofflaw leaves his red dye at the crime scene which the dogs use to help find the thief. Droopy teaches Dripple the ropes of being a police officer. Their first stop is the donut shop where they question Miss Vavoom. Dripple asks Vavoom about her hair color and promptly gets kicked out of the donut shop. Following various other clues and then getting their car stole, Droopy and Dripple find Scofflaw Badwrench's hideout chop shop. However, Scofflaw can't seem to get rid of the dogs, who eventually turn Scofflaw's machine against the thief. Scofflaw Badwrench was given three years in the hoosegow, with time off for good grooming.
