Transcript

Droopy's Restless Night is the second episode of The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show written by Jack Hanrahan. It was aired on September 6, 1980.

Synopsis[]

Slick Wolf is the construction foreman on a building. Droopy and Spike are his workers. Despite his best efforts, Droopy unintentionally gets Spike in trouble with the boss. During the workers' slumber, Spike finds out Droopy is working while he is asleep, Spike utilizes this in order for them to finish the building.

Plot[]

At the construction side Droopy and Spike are his workers. Droopy keeps getting Spike in trouble with the boss all day. Droopy use the rivet gun to hammer down the rivet one by one while Spike use the tongs to throw each hot rivets for Droopy to hammer down each rivet but one of the rivet fall down while Droopy tries to hammers each rivets until Spike grab the rope and pull to Droopy causing Droopy hammer down Spike foot causing him to scream in pain but Spike grab him and Droopy thanks him so Spike look down and see Slick Wolf is the construction foreman on a building while he is looking through the binoculars.

Spike takes the rivet gun from Droopy and tell him to tosses the rivet so Spike hammers down the rivets while Droopy uses the tongs to throw each rivets so Spike tell him to speed up so Droopy use the tongs to throw all the rivets while Spike hammers down all the rivets but he looks tired until Spike steps onto the burning rivet with his right foot causing Spike to scream in pain until he reach on top of the metal bat causing it too bend. Slick Wolf goes up and Droopy says hello boss and Slick Wolf goes to Spike but Spike says hello until Slick Wolf told him for no time for hanging out up there we got the building to finish. Then Slick Wolf goes down. So Droopy uses the wrench to help Spike to get down so Droopy uses the wrench to hit the metal bar causing spike to fall so Droopy tells Slick Wolf he is nice but Slick Wolf is looking through the binoculars. so Spike tell Droopy to get the wheelbarrow so Droopy bring the wheel barrow so Spike pull the lever down but something is stuck so he shake the barrel so he think need a little tap so Spike looks inside the barrel until Droopy tap it causing the cement come out and pour onto him but Droopy tells him there is no time for get hard nose Slick Wolf goes up again and Droopy say hello boss again and Slick Wolf goes to Spike and told him still standing around like a statue with all the work to do and say something but Spike mumbled so Slick Wolf poke him to collapse and breaks into pieces and he tell him to get back to work causing the statue breaks into pieces. However when the whistle blows it is 5 o'clock so Slick Wolf tells them to break time so he tells them to shape up tomorrow.

At night Droopy and Spike fall asleep in the bunk bed, but Droopy sits on the bed and as he sleeps, Spike wakes up and sees Droopy shaking his arms and Spike goes back to sleep. Droopy gets up from the bed and he sleepwalks and he hops through the window but Spike wakes up again and sees Droopy standing on the window and Droopy hops off the window and bounces onto the roof like a trampoline until Spike catches Droopy with his hands. Spike think he will be down so Droopy grabs the lunchboxes and tools while Spike put on the hard hat and Spike leads Droppy to finish the building has him finish the building so Spike thinks where do we start so he adjust the clock but the whistle blow so Spike tells Droopy to drop the toolbox and start building however Droopy throws the toolbox and lunchbox onto Spike foot causing him to scream.

Droopy continues to use the rivet gun to hammer down the rivet one by one while he is sleeping but Spike see Droopy is about to fall off the building so he go to the crane and adjust the iron bar and turn into the left side Droopy continues to hammer down the rivet causing the iron bar falls onto the crane and crush it flat. Droopy continues to use the rivet gun to hammer down the rivet one by one while Spike is sleeping. So Droopy uses the saw to cut the wood and he uses the hammer and laying the bricks to build the wall.

One Morning the building is all finished by droopy. Inside the building Droopy is about to finish building the brick wall but there are few more bricks to finish while Spike is sleeping in a hammock and he tells him to finish building it before the boss comes. However when the whistle blows Droopy finishes building just in time so think where Spike is. Slick comes in the next day and sees the building is already build and he goes to the elevator and he congratulates Droopy, while Spike is stuck behind a brick wall.
