The Dutch Woodpecker is a character from the Gene Deitch-era of Tom and Jerry appearing in the short Landing Stripling. He is a yellow Dutch bird who is an air pilot and loves to fly in directions like an airplane.

He's a yellow bird with red helmet/feet/backpack, very thin, noodle black legs, big goofy close-up eyes, and a beak that is the same color as his whole body and is wonky on the bottom. He is around the same size as Jerry Mouse.

Trivia[]

  • His design, like many other characters introduced in the Gene Deitch-era, is very different from the baby woodpecker and mama woodpecker, as well as the rest of the other bird characters in the original Hanna-Barbera era cartoons.
