Goldie (also known as Goldfish) is a small goldfish, whose debut in Tom and Jerry short, Jerry and the Goldfish.
History[]
Goldie or an unnamed fish has appear having minor roles in the cartoon has been in seen in Puss Gets the Boot, Puss n' Toots, Baby Puss, The Million Dollar Cat, Casanova Cat and The Missing Mouse. However the character wasn't established until the short Jerry and the Goldfish. When Tom tries uses as the main ingredient to make a meal out of her, Jerry prevents his new friend from getting eaten by Tom.
Goldie has also appeared in Filet Meow, where she is given a new design, it's also reveals that she and Jerry have affections for each other. In the short, Tom attempts to eat her, but is prevented by Jerry who is protecting her from him, which this leads to Jerry earning her affections.
