Tara

Overview

Tara is a female cat making her debut appearance in the Tom and Jerry short Texas Tom.

She is a beautiful greyish-white cat who wears a black vest and hat, purple bandana, yellowish cowboy pants, a belt, brown boots and cowboy gloves. Tom has a crush on her and tried to impress her. At the end, Jerry won her heart by giving her a big kiss on the lips.

Tara is a female cowgirl cat who is the most beautiful cowgirl in the West. With her pretty face and striking figure, she sure gets a lot of attention.

Apperance[]

Tara wears a soft black wide-brimmed cowgirl hat, a black leather jacket, a purple silk bandana around her neck, almond cowgirl pants and matching brown gloves and high heel boots, which are full of western style.

Personality[]

Tara's beautiful and elegant figure made Tom fall in love at first sight, which also allowed Jerry to find the opportunity to trick Cowboy Tom to his heart's content. At the end of the story, Cowboy Jerry also put on a handsome cowboy suit to show his favor to Tara, which shows her irresistible charm.

History[]

Classic/Golden Era[]

Tara is one of the many love interests of Tom had, making her debut apparance in in the 1950's Texas Tom, where she is first seen arriving from a vehicle with all of her luggage.

When Tom spots the pretty cowgirl cat, he overcome with lust, he dresses up in his best cowboy duds to impress her. He greets her by inhaling a cigarette and breathes out the smoke to spell "Howdy." Tara is flustered and giggly. At one point he sings a song for her on a guitar but has a record player secretly playing the song for him. In the end Jerry wears his own cowboy duds, and he waves his hat over to Tara, then excitedly runs up to her face, grabs her by the cheeks and presses his lips onto the cowgirl's red lips, giving her a big kiss.

She made another apperance (though she appeared in stock footage) in the series of flashbacks of Tom's romances and love interests over the years in Smitten Kitten.

Modern Era[]

After a 71 years (or 69 years if you count Smitten Kitten) of absence, she returns in The Tom and Jerry Show (2014) episode Day of the Jackalope first airing in 2021.

Tara reappear where she is first seen sitting on bench in the dude ranch. Tom instantly in love to Tara, he grabs a cowboy rope and runs to Tara. Tom impresses the feline cowgirl with his talented. Tom gives Jerry as a gift for Tara.

In the same year, Tara is a playable character in the multiplayer online game, Tom and Jerry Chase.
