Premise[]
A firehouse dog wants to be a firefighter with the help of Tom and Jerry.
Plot[]
Tom is chasing Jerry through Firehouse No. 3 passed the sleeping Dalmatian, Sparky. Jerry enters a boot and kicks Tom, but is chased by Tom down the fire pole. They run passed Sparky again, who yells at them to get out of the firehouse as cats and mice are not allowed. Sparky, dreams of rescuing a lovely French poodle, is awoken to hear the Firemen discuss the dogs impending retirement since the dog can't catch a cat. This angers the dog and gets motivated to chase Tom, but Sparky is just too old. Meanwhile, Jerry climbs into a fire hose, which Tom uses to shoot the mouse out into the firehouse. He chase Jerry around as Jerry is hiding under a fire helmet. Jerry runs up the fire pole, which he then greases to prevent Tom from following.
However, Sparky is there to bark at Tom and cause Tom to fly up the pole. This action over exerts the dog and he lies down to rest. Tom then chases Jerry through the firehouse lockers which Jerry locks him in. This cause him to get caught by Sparky and kicked out of the firehouse. Tom ends up on the fire engine ladder that raises Tom up to the top floor where he chases Jerry and causes a fire to occur. This alerts Sparky who comes to Tom and Jerry's rescue, thus helping keep Sparky around and out of retirement. As the firemen are called out to a fire, Sparky joins them while Tom and Jerry wave goodbye to the dog. By themselves, the cat and mouse are at it again chasing each other around the firehouse using fire extinguishers against each other.
