Ford Motor Company, commonly known as Ford, is an American multinational automaker that has its main headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. It was founded by Henry Ford and incorporated on June 16, 1903. The company sells automobiles and commercial vehicles under the Ford brand, and most luxury cars under the Lincoln and Mercury brand.
In 2003, Ford UK made a commercial (promoting the then-recent Ford Mondeo) that features the Tom and Jerry breaking out of a TV, wrecking the living room, and eventually breaking the door and going outside. Jerry then goes inside the Ford car and Tom gets chased away by a live-action bulldog.
