"Game Set Match" is the 63th episode of Tom and Jerry Tales directed by TJ House, written by Eric Shaw and storyboard by Kevin Frank.
Synopsis[]
Spike enlists tennis pro Tom to teach his son the ins and outs of the game. However, Jerry complicates Tom's coaching efforts with the puppy, leading the frustrated tomcat to face the wrath of daddy Spike.
Plot[]
Spike wants Tom to teach his son, Tyke, how to play tennis—making it clear there should be no funny business, as he believes Tom is the tennis expert. However, Jerry enters the backyard and, as usual, plans to complicate this coaching task. He throws a tennis ball, which accidentally gets Tyke stuck in the net, and he also cranks the automatic tennis ball launcher to maximum speed.
Tom tries to whack away every ball with his racket, but only one ball manages to bop Tyke on the nose. In response, Spike transforms Tom into a tennis racket, serving with comedic flair. Meanwhile, Jerry ties another racket to Tyke's tail, prompting the puppy to make his first move ever. Spike praises his son for the effort and then places Tom in the tennis ball machine, blasting him out like a tennis ball.
Tyke, with Spike's guidance, makes his second serve, which Spike returns with his real racket. The episode concludes with Jerry watching Spike and Tyke enjoy a game of tennis together.

Trivia[]
- This is the only episode of Tom and Jerry Tales not to feature Nibbles Mouse.
- This episode contains the theme with Tennis and has Tom as a talented tennis player like in Tennis Chumps and The Tennis Menace
- Unlike other cartoons, Tyke wears a red shirt instead of a red collar like his father.
- This cartoon marks the first time Tyke has light grey fur since Tom and Jerry Kids.
- This episode features the fourth instance of Tom getting mowed by a lawn mower. With the previous three instances being in Tee For Two, Little Quacker and Cat Napping.
- In the scene where Spike mows Tom, whose fur resembles grass, the gag is cleverly designed to mimic the one from "Tee for Two."
