Premise[]
Knights Droopy and Butch (voiced by Brad Garrett) are battling each other in a jousting tournament in order to win Miss Vavoom's heart.
Synopsis[]
A jousting tournament is held for the chance to win the hand and kiss the sleeping princess and "wake" her up. All the royal characters speak in California Valley Girl talk from the eighties as the jousting tournament begins. The Sleeping Princess is not really sleeping as she is not really interested in all the nerds that keep showing up for her hand. However, she soon swoons over Sir Droop-a-lot and hopes that Sir Butch doesn't win. Several challenges later with Droopy winning several of them, but Sir Butch is the one that attempts to wake the Princess up but with no luck. Droopy shows up and kisses the Princess on the cheek, she swoons and the knight is dumbfounded that she would choose Droopy over him. However, the knight thinks that it may work both ways and decides to be a sleeping knight waiting for a princess to wake him up.
Trivia[]
- A character in the episode named Butch, who is an entirely different character from Droopy's rival in the classic Droopy and other Tex Avery cartoons and the black cat from the Tom and Jerry franchise who is Tom's rival and frenemy. This Butch is a human character, instead or a dog or cat and he's an one-time character exclusive to Tom & Jerry Kids Show in the Droopy and Dripple segment. Neither of the dog nor the black cat ever appeared on Tom & Jerry Kids Show.
- However, in the 1957 classic Droopy cartoon, One Droopy Knight, Butch Dog is a knight and Droopy's rival to slay a dragon and goes by the name, Sir Butch-A-Lot.
