Heavy Booking is the fourth episode of The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show. It was aired on September 13, 1980.

Synopsis[]

In the City Library, a mother puts Hilda in charge of taking care of her baby while she goes out. Tom is warned by the librarian if he wakes her up, she would throw him into Mars.

Plot[]

In the City Library, a mother puts Hilda in charge of taking care of her baby while she goes out for shopping and it's mother walks away. Then, Hilda walk to the desk and take her nap.

Tom is sleeping in the cat basket, but Hilda sits onto the wheelchair and sleeps as soon Tom is taking a nap. Suddenly, he hears baby cries, and Hilda woke up and hear the baby cries so she goes to the baby stroller, but Tom hides under the blanket. She told the baby he drop the bottle so she pick it up and give it to the baby.

Tom continues his nap. When suddenly, Hilda gets fed up, and goes to Tom, and warns him to be quiet while she jump up and down. On top of the shelves, Jerry appears next to the books and see Hilda scolds him and he nods and winks.

Tom is taking a nap suddenly he hears the crunch noise and he wake up and goes to the ladder and climbs up the ladder and see Jerry eating a celery he told him to keep the noise down while he pointing at Hilda sleeping. Then, Jerry throws the tomato at Hilda, but Tom rushes to the desk and stands directly in front of the Hilda sleeping so that the tomato does hit him, after all. Jerry is laughing and Tom goes up the ladder and see him laughing.

So, he put him with the book and Tom use the bucket to catch him and throws him into the dustbin and shut the window. Tom is about to continue his nap, But then suddenly, Jerry is playing the bass drum, so Tom took the drum from Jerry and he stares at him. Suddenly, he hears footsteps. And Jerry dashes away, but Tom is tries to hide the drum, so he puts it in his mouth. Hilda goes to Tom and scold him fiercely and said who woke me up, but Tom shook his head. She warns Tom to hold him completely responsible I hear so much. Then, she jumps up and down that if he hears one more sound, she would throw him into Mars. So, Tom nods his head but he hiccups.

Tom tiptoes to look for Jerry. When Suddenly, he hears crunch noise again, so he looks around to find Jerry, but he see him the globe. Jerry is using the nutcracker to open the nuts while he is eating. Tom is staring at Jerry eating the nut, but he grab him on his nose and uses the nutcracker to open Tom's nose until Tom grabs the nutcracker and put his nose back on his face.

Suddenly, he hears the baby cries again, but Jerry dashes off, so Tom looks around to find him, but he looks up and see Jerry throwing the book until Tom catch books and run in circles and pants from the weight of the books. He is briefly safe, but he soon spots the Jerry throws one more book down until he catches it with his foot.

Jerry throws the book again until Tom shook his head, Jerry throws book down until Tom catches it with his tail. Jerry is about to throw he book until Tom has to stop him and pray himself. Then, Jerry had an idea, he throws the biggest book down to the ground until Tom catches the big book and crashes through the floor. He comes up onto the broken floor and see Hilda sleeping, so he quickly put the baby on the chair and take the stroller and grab the baby bottle and squirt it on his arm and he quickly puts Hilda on the stroller and give the bottle to Hilda and rock her to sleep.

Suddenly, The Baby cries, so he puts Hilda on the wheelchair and he quickly take the stroller and grab the bottle and goes to the baby, and Tom puts the bottle into baby's mouth and rocks it to sleep. But then, Hilda cries like a baby while she stomps her feet and Tom puts the baby in the stroller and he grabs Hilda, pats her on her back and burp and he puts Hilda back on her wheelchair.

But then Suddenly, Tom look at Jerry waving so he chases after him into the library, but Jerry grabs the brown paper bag and blows it until Tom put the bin onto Jerry preventing pops it. He lifts the bin up and see Jerry, but Tom chases him out of the library and go around the sign causing the sign spin around but a sign saying PARADE ROUTE, Tom chases Jerry back into the library, but he is about to catch him. So, he goes to the door. But now, the parade marches in the library causing the door falls onto him.

Tom goes to Hilda while he's carrying his eight books and cover Hilda's ears and push her until Tom trips over the book causing the wheelchair go faster until he stop her causing starting the fire. And Suddenly, the fire alarm goes off, but Tom sees the firefighters coming to the library so he puts Hilda causing chaos in the library, so Tom shook his head and tiptoes quietly until he saw Jerry on top of the shelves and he told him to keep the noise down while he pointing at Hilda sleeping.

So, Jerry take out the pin causing Tom to laugh loudly until Hilda wakes up and hears Tom laughing. Jerry drops the pin next to him, but Tom sees the pin and he continues to laugh loudly until Hilda goes to him and jump up and down and she kicks him out of the earth and Tom lands onto mars.

And so, Noise-sensitive Aliens told him to be quiet, but Tom lips are ruffled.

Errors[]

Tom's eyes are white instead of yellow.
When Jerry pinches Tom's nose, Tom didn't make a painful expression, despite that his screaming voice was heard.
When Jerry is laughing, only his muzzle is colored light brown whilst the rest fo his mouth is brown.

Trivia[]

This is episode is based on Tex Avery's Rock-a-Bye Bear.
- Which has a very noise sensitive and ill-tempered bear that is waken up by even the slightest noise, Hilda the Librarian in the episode also obtains these traits.

This episode is also similar to Quiet Please!.
One of few episodes Jerry torments Tom for absolutely no reason. which also occurred in The Puppy Sitter.
The animation of Jerry laughing, waving after Tom took the drum and waving before running off are all reused animations that originated from this episode.
