Henry Mancini (April 16, 1924 – June 14, 1994) was an American composer, conductor, arranger, pianist and flautist. His credentials include the films Breakfast at Tiffany's, Charade, Days of Wine and Roses, The Great Mouse Detective, Hatari!, Mommie Dearest, Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation, The Pink Panther film series, The Prisoner of Zenda, Touch of Evil, and Two for the Road, as well as the television series Hotel, Mr. Lucky, Newhart, The NBC Mystery Movie, Peter Gunn, Remington Steele, and What's Happening!!

Mancini provided the musical score to Tom and Jerry: The Movie.
