"Incredible Shrinking Cat" is the 13th episode of The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show.
Synopsis[]
Jerry gets hold of a mad scientist's size modifier in order to shrink Tom and enlarge himself.
Plot[]
While chasing each other in a field, Tom stops and looks for Jerry. He hides behind the tree, then sees Jerry swing through a rope and whistles. Jerry pulls the rope, causing Tom to crash through the wooden drawbridge and skid to the castle. Tom then opens the piece of drawbridge, making a shape out of himself, until Jerry goes to Tom and slam him. Jerry goes upstairs until Tom chases him, causing the piece of drawbridge to spin around. Jerry runs upstairs, hides behind the wall, and hears something flashing inside of the laboratory.
Jerry goes to the laboratory and sees a scientist finishing a shrink/growth ray. The scientist presses the red button to make the tree grow, then the blue button to make the tree shrink. When the clock strikes three, the scientist shrinks the clock with ray. Tom runs by to look for Jerry by turning his head around. Tom is about to go to the laboratory until Jerry slams the door, causing Tom to crash through the wall. The scientist puts the ray away and leaves the laboratory. Tom is about to go to the laboratory, but the door slams him to the wall, flattening him.
When Jerry sees the ray, he thinks about shrinking Tom to a small size. Tom looks around until Jerry presses the blue button to shrink Tom. Jerry giggles until Tom clings to Jerry's leg. Tom looks up to see Jerry, then runs to the bookshelf to hide. Jerry presses the red button to grow himself. Then Jerry presses the red button to make Tom grow. Jerry puts a ruler next to Tom and changes his size repeatedly. Tom tries to stop Jerry from playing with the ray, then runs away.
Tom hides behind the machine until Jerry presses the blue button to shrink him, Jerry tosses the ray up with his foot until Jerry catches the Ray but he accidentally presses the red button to grow Tom bigger while Tom goes upstairs. Jerry tries to stop the ray until he sees Tom getting bigger. Jerry press the blue button to shrink Tom, but Jerry makes himself smaller. Taking the ray, Tom accidentally presses the red button to make Jerry grow. Seeing Jerry as a giant, Tom tries to run away. Since the ray is dropped on the stairs, Jerry continues to grow. Tom runs out of the castle until Jerry grabs him; the ray then shrinks them to normal size. Jerry tries to control the ray, causing the castle to shrink into small size.
The scientist comes back from shopping and sees the castle running, with the scientist calling the castle a "bad castle." Tom tiptoes from the shrunken castle, followed by Jerry, who tosses the ray out of the shrunken castle, causing the scientist to shrink. The scientist plays with the ray while Tom runs away from the castle. The castle hits a tree branch, bringing it on top of the tree, where it enlarges. The scientist calls the castle a "nice castle." Jerry giggles and hops onto Tom's nose. Tom resumes chasing Jerry.

- The way Tom and Jerry's bodies change as they grow bigger, namely having bigger stomachs, which is call-back to how the characters grow in the MGM Tex Avery short King-Size Canary.
- The castle's exterior and most of the interior designs in this episode were reused in the episode "A Connecticut Mouse in King Arthur's Cork".
- The title is a play of the name of the 1957 film, The Incredible Shrinking Man.
- Jerry jumping up and running away in the air was first used in "Heavy Booking".
- Tom trying to catch Jerry until he realizes he is massive comes from Is There a Doctor in the Mouse? Massive Jerry in both incarnations makes a sadistic wave down at regular-sized Tom.
- Tom gets shrunken in this episode much to Jerry's delight, similar to Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Mouse.
Errors[]
- When Tom drops the growth/shrink ray on the steps, both buttons are blue instead of one red and one blue.
- Due to reused animation from "Heavy Booking", Jerry's head is facing towards the screen instead of towards the left when he jumps up.
