Synopsis[]
After an unsuccessful attempt on Tom’s part to catch Jerry, a traveling cat saleman is happy to sell Tom just what he needs; a series of elaborate mousetraps, tricks and schemes. Tom attempts to dish out a world of hurt to Jerry.
Plot[]
Jerry is seen escaping via pet flap door with a wedge of cheese and Tom chases after him with a slingshot which he uses rocks to hit Jerry with but he dodges two far until one hits the cheese and its land on his head. As Jerry keeps on running with Tom on hot pursit, an orange cat watches them from the hences, said "Oh, lucky day. Looks like I've found me a new sucker (coughs) Customer" and ducks down. Meanwhile Spike is asleep in his doghouse not noticing Tom and Jerry run pass him. Still wearing the cheese on his head, Jerry turns to the left and Tom shoots another rock and sees if he got him but it was actually Spike with an bruised eye instead.
Spike takes the slingshot, attaches the pad on Tom's forehead, pulls the handle, lets go and pushes Tom to the house neck first then he drags and kicks him where to the orange cat's direction in the bushes. The Cat saw Tom's problem, introduces himself as Carver and provides him the Carver Mouse Remover 1.0 some assemblies required and told him their special delievery service is on its way to his door right now. Hearing the doorbell just now, Tom rushes to answer it as Jerry, while muching on the cheese, shrugs to the audience.
Tom opens the door to Carver in disguse with a special box, gets him to sign the contract and pay his fee (cat food). Carver tells Tom to follow the simple directions, say goodbye to his mouse problem, call their customer support service and drops off the box on Tom. Later, Tom has finished setting up the mousetrap, read the plans and grins. Jerry takes the chesse which attaches with rope causing the ball to roll down the slide, springs the jug of water to pour into a glass cup on a seesaw which lifts the candle up to the rope, causing the anvil to hit the bin lid which turns on the radio disc box and the fan which blows the umbrella off the chandelier and knocks the bowling ball which was about to rolls off the ladder and splat Jerry but it doesn't. With that, Jerry bites on the wedge cheese as Tom marches over shadowing him. Jerry just ate the whole cheese, wobbles the ladder and the bowling ball lands on Tom's head. Jerry walks pass Tom in a dazed as a bump grows on his head and the bowling ball rolls off.
Tom goes to seee Carver again and he gives him a new set of blueprint to catch Jerry and pays him more cat food. Jerry follows the trail of cheese pieces which lead to the fireplace as part of the plan. Tom lights up the dynamite on the arrow and prepares to aim it into the chimmeny but it goes off too soon and Tom shoots the arrow on the tree branch which lands on him. After Tom pays Carver more cat food again, he gives him another set of blueprints. The scene shows Tom is on a swing set, a boulder on a seesaw and Jerry resting on a hammock. Tom swings, slides down the slide and hits the seesaw which sent the boulder flying but it misses Jerry and was heading for Spike's doghouse. Tom hurries to push the doghouse out of the way but the boulder crashes through the roof causing to go into pieces. Spike growls behind Tom and pummels him. Carver gives Tom more blueprints and he gets payed again but no matter what every trap Tom uses keep failing over, and over and over and over. So Carver gives Tom more blueprints and he pays him cat food again but off-screen, the loud crashing and banging noise are heard so many times as Craver hears and grimmers whereas Tom is blasted out of the chimmey, crashes on the main road and raises with his hand with one tin cat food.
Jerry sees the cheese on a rope again but this time one on the other end is the dynamite which Tom lights it up as it gets pulled over and plugs his ears. However, Jerry threw the dynamite back to Tom who dumps it in the mousehole and get thrown out. Tom and Jerry continue this charade over and over until Tom gets a lamp and blocks the hole but then the blub gets removed off placing the dynamite in and explodes.
Angried, Tom in ashes marches to Carver who brings out the big guns; the weapon of mass rodent eradication, only for his best customer and gives him the boom cheese recipe which he beams. In the garage, Tom was working his science experiments which drops a green drop on the cheese and places it outside Jerry's mousehole again. Jerry comes out, sniffs the cheese, puts in Tom's bowl and turns the machine opener getting the cat's attention. Tom falls for his own bait, eats the cheese which turns his face green, explodes and turn his whole head upside down.
Carver was about his payments chow when Tom confronts him again and he gives him a mallet which he calls this Whack it as in Tom finds Jerry and bash him. Unfortunately, Tom uses the mallet to whack Carver on the head and chases after him repeatedly thus ending the episode.
