Koinobori is the twentieth of Tom and Jerry Gokko. It was released on May 5, 2025.
Plot[]
Spike and Tyke are in the backyard playing fetch together with a tennis ball. Spike gives Tyke an origami samurai hat to wear on his head which makes him yap with joy. Just then, Tyke picks the ball with his mouth, shakes it around so much, it flies into Jerry's mousehole where he was having his snack, bounces everywhere, and chases him outside. Tom was sleeping on a hammock until Jerry flips it over causing him to fall on the ground. Tom gets up to see Jerry in the hammock when the ball gets stuck in his mouth.
Jerry dives into the bushes. Tom finds a tail and carries Tyke out by mistake. Then, Spike shows up. As Tyke takes the ball out of Tom's mouth and walks off, Spike grabs Tom's whiskers. Jerry chuckles from inside Spike's doghouse when Tom chases after him. As Jerry climbs up the flagpole, Tom winds the winch to bring him and the koinobori down but Tyke accidentally gets caught in the rope and pulled up. Jerry points up to Tyke who yaps for help and Spike reappears seeing his son in trouble. Tyke gets loose from the rope and falls so the trio tries to catch him. Luckily, Tyke lands on Tom squishing him like an accordion. Spike was so relieved that Tyke is safe again and hugs him.
In the end, Tom, who is now wearing an origami samurai hat, throws the ball for Tyke to fetch, while Jerry is eating his Sakura mochi while sitting on the garden table next to Spike, who also gives him a small origami samurai hat.
