The fifth season of The Tom and Jerry Show premiered on February 19, 2021 on Cartoon Network App and on the Boomerang TV channel on 15th February.
Plot
Each episode of the series follows either one of these scenarios:
- Tom and Jerry's typical antics in a modern-day urban setting.
- Tom and Jerry working together as detectives in Tolucaville by operating a detective agency called "The Cat & Mouse Detectives", complete with a narrator.
- Tom working as a butler in a Downton Abbey property named Postlewaite Manor (presumably named after the show's producer Ashley Postlewaite).
- Tom working at a farm run by a farmer named Maude.
- Tom and Jerry starring in spoofs of classic fairy tales, narrated by Papa to Rutger, Rolf, and Rudy around a campfire.
Trivia
- This is the only season to be shown on Cartoon Network App before it was shown to Boomerang in the United States to help promote Tom and Jerry (2021 film).
- This is the only season to only have 13 episodes instead of 26 episodes like the other seasons of the series.
- The follwing series Tom and Jerry in New York was also released in the same year as well as it having 13 episodes.
