This list of implied characters is a list of characters that have not physically appeared in any form of media up to this point in time. Regardless of their lack of appearance, the implied characters have been mentioned at least once in the Tom and Jerry franchise.
Aunt Harriet[]
Aunt Harriet is implied in a telegram in The Million Dollar Cat. She is the eccentric aunt of Tom's unknown owner, speculated to be Mammy Two Shoes. In the short film, she writes a letter to the unseen owner, detailing that Tom has inherited a million dollars—as long as he does not harm any living creature, including mice.
Aunt Tabby[]
Aunt Tabby is Tom's late aunt who is mentioned in Our Gang with Tom and Jerry 052. Her name is seen in a letter where Tom inherits her money.
Butch's Aunt's Sister[]
Butch mentions both his aunt and her sister (who is also Butch's aunt) in Going, Going, Gone Viral. His aunt's sister from Guatemala sent her the embarrassing video which featured Tom.
Butch's Mother[]
Butch's Mother was mentioned in The Devil You Know, where Butch talks about his mother in his sleep.
Bulldogs' Master[]
The Bulldogs' Master is the owner of the two bulldogs that is mentioned by them in Tom and Jerry Tales episode Which Witch. After being turned into their true form, the bulldogs remembered that their master punished them by turning them into witches (with the blue collared bulldog into the Blue Witch and the green collared bulldog the Green Witch) after they had chased a cat and a mouse.
Buttons[]
Buttons is a cat who is mentioned by Butch in The Tom and Jerry Show (2014) episode Tom Foolery. Butch tells the story of about Buttons to convince Tom to switch lifestyles with him.
He was said to be house cat who lived in the neighborhood. Button appearance was said to be pale and weared a bell collar. What happened to Buttons described Butch, said that he went to the vet and is diagnosed with felis catus indorium delirium caused by too much time indoors.
Celeste's Brother[]
Celeste's Brother is the younger brother of Celeste, he was mentioned in the Journey in Pictures story in Tom and Jerry Chase. As said by the story, he and his older sister depended on each other since when they were young.
Chino's Father[]
Chino's Father is the spouse of Chino's Mother, and the father of Chino. He was mentioned by Chino's mother in Who Are You Kitten.
Dinky's Mother[]
Dinky's Mother is the unseen sister of Jerry Mouse and mother of Dinky Mouse. She is mentioned by her son in Jerry's Nephew.
Eagle's Wife[]
The Eagle's Wife is implied in Flirty Birdy, evident by the end of the short, Tom, who is a cat (i.e. an animal that cannot lay eggs), is sitting on a nest full of eggs.
Elizabeth Starling[]
Elizabeth Starling (also known as Mrs. Starling or Mommy Starling) is the late mother of Robyn Starling and the wife of Mr. Starling. She was mentioned by Robyn in Tom and Jerry: The Movie. She died from an unknown cause when Robyn was a baby, leaving her father to raise her by himself.
François Mouse[]
François Mouse is the unseen father of Tuffy Mouse and an old friend and the brother-in-law to Jerry Mouse. He is mentioned only in Touché, Pussy Cat!
François' name is seen in his letters. According to the letters, he has sent his son, Tuffy for training with Jerry in order for him to become a mouseketeer.
George Mouse[]
George Mouse (who is called Cousin George) is Jerry's unseen cousin who's name is implied in a note about leaving Tuffy with Jerry for Thanksgiving in Feedin' the Kiddie. Oddly, Tom has a cousin with with the same name who appeared in the previous short.
Ginger's Father[]
Ginger's Father is unseen character in The Tom and Jerry Show (2014) episode In the Beginning. He was mentioned by Ginger when Rick named a shy blue cat, that he bought from the animal shelter, "Thomas" home to take care of the mouse and said her dad was a hunter.
Grayson's Father[]
Grayson's Father is unseen character in Ghost Party. Hildie tells Grayson that Newt told her and Beatie everything that happened while they are away and just wait until they talk to his dad much to his dismay.
Heroes of Flight[]

The Heroes of Flight are famous female pilots that are mentioned by Frita in The Tom and Jerry Show (1975) episode The Flying Sorceres.
Jeannie's Friends[]
Jeannie's Friends are unseen teenagers that Jeannie talks to on the phone. The particular person Jeannie talks to name is unknown, but it is assumed she chats with another girl who is her best friend. Often she likes to chat with her or other friends with mentioned in dialouge such as Mike, Gary, and Jane. There are particularly mentioned in Busy Buddies.

In the former she is expecting company to arrive and in the latter although she made an silence apperance, it's assumed she is making a Thanksgiving feast for her relatives.
McWolf's Mother[]
McWolf's Mother was mentioned in Pony Express Droopy. When Slick McWolf enlists his brother Bad Tooth McWolf. When Bad Tooth says why he never there mother to Slick.
She was also mentioned in Droopy Law and Battered Up, Conquest of the Planet Irwin and some episodes.
Mr. and Mrs. Doublevay[]
Mr. and Mrs, Doublevay are the parents of Doctor Doublevay. They where mentioned by Doublevay himself, his first name is Doctor. He also claims that the reason for this is because his parents had high expectations for him.
Professor Mouse[]
Professor Mouse is a unseen mouse who has given Jerry's certificate in Tom and Jerry cartoon, Little School Mouse. Professor Mouse signed Jerry's certificate as a fully qualified instructor in the art of outwitting cats.
Rowdy Rat Jr's Gang[]
Rowdy Rat's Gang is a implied gang of Rowdy Rat Jr. that were mentioned by him in Our Gang with Tom and Jerry 041 and Our Gang with Tom and Jerry 042. Although Rowdy Rat Jr. himself claims to have a gang, however they were never seen in the issues.
Sgt. Clayton T McTabby's Grandmother[]
Sgt. Clayton T McTabby's Grandmother is an elderly cat who is grandmother of Sgt. Clayton McTabby, possible mother to Lt. General Mother and grandaunt to Tom Cat. She is mentioned in Tom and Jerry in New York episode Private Tom.
He mentions her when he sees his nephew failing to catch Jerry dining from an wheeled table with the mouse easily stopping him Tom with a platter. Clayton witnesses his nephew's lack of skills calling it the worst display of mouse catching he ever witness he then says his grandmother would had caught the mouse even for her age being 110 years old in human years.
Spike's Father[]
Spike's Father was mentioned in Tom and Jerry in New York episode King Spike the First and Last. After Butch pretends to be his "late father" King Rex, Spike soon realizes this charade and explained that his actual father is still alive and well living in Tampa Bay, Florida.
The Mistress[]
The Mistress is the owner of Spike, Tom and Jerry in The Tom and Jerry Show (1975). She is only mentioned once in the episode The Kitten Sitters, the mistress is mentioned by Spike, which she puts in charge of the house awhile she is gone.
The Three Bears[]
A version of the Three Bears from Goldilocks and the Three Bears were mentioned in The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show episode Old Mother Hubbard. Goldilocks explains to Slick Wolf that the bears moved out, and the house is rented by The Three Gorillas.
The Previous Nome King[]
The Previous Nome King is the father and predecessor to the King Ruggedo in Tom and Jerry: Back to Oz. Unlike his son/successor, he is kind, generous, humble, softhearted and friendly, which that disgusted his greedy, selfish, vain, malicious son. He was responsible for the existence of Emerald City and also the Ruby Slippers when he brought the emeralds and rubies from underground to the surface. His son wants to take all the emeralds his dad brought back by bringing Emerald City underground and enslaved its people to dig for him.

Tom is an unseen cat who is implied in Tom and Jerry Kids episode No Tom Like The Present. When the Kitten angel tells Tom that there was a computer mistake with another cat also named Tom who had one lives. Telling Tom he has all his nine lives.

Tom is Ginger's father who is mentioned in The Tom and Jerry Show (2014) episode In the Beginning. Tom's name comes from Ginger's father who was a hunter.
Uncle Dudley[]
Uncle Dudley is a radio host that appears as a radio in Tom and Jerry short, Jerry's Diary. He announces "Be Kind to Animals" week and tries to convince Tom to give something for Jerry.
Uncle Wei[]
Uncle Wei is the uncle of Celeste who was mentioned in her backstory, Journey through the Painting in Tom and Jerry Chase. Celeste has a family conflict with him, but the reason is not elaborated. Ultimately, Celeste and Sackie chose not to tell him about her achievement as a True Goddess near the end of the story.
Rufus, Gunter, Angus and Shylock[]
Rufus, Gunter, Angus and Shylock are the four children of Mallory McDoogle mentioned by her in the animated feature Tom and Jerry: The Fast and the Furry. Her family consists of three sons and one daughter: Rufus McDoogle, the eldest son; Gunter McDoogle, the middle son; Angus McDoogle, the only daughter; and Shylock McDoogle, the youngest sibling. Sweet-Tooth Malone's Girlfriend[]
The girlfriend of Sweet-Tooth Malone is a female dog mentioned by him in Stolen Heart. In the episode, he ordered Matilda to bake him a special heart-shaped cake for her and have a diamond ring baked inside for Valentine's Day.
Wilbur and Orville Crow[]
Wilbur and Orville Crow are two crows that were mentioned by Judd in The Tom and Jerry Show (1975) episode Double Trouble Crow. They were the first crows to snitch corn according to Judd. There names are a play on the names of real life, Orville and Wilbur Wright.

The witch shows Tom graves implying she had deceased cats before Tom, with eight tombstones with names on them. With the first 3 names unknown; The first is off-screen and the second and third are unreadable. The graves 4-7 are readable with the names by order is; Beans, Pete, Tabby and Butch while the 8th tombstone could potentially become Tom's as the witch is implied.
