Mark Richard Hamill (born September 25, 1951) is an American actor, writer, producer, and director. He is best known for portraying the hero Luke Skywalker in the 1977 film Star Wars (A New Hope) its sequels, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker, and Season 2 of The Madalorian. He also voiced The Joker in several DC Animated Universe shows and again in the video games Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and MultiVersus, The Hobgoblin in Spider-Man (1994), Buzz Buzzard, Tweaky and The Creepy Badger in The New Woody Woodpecker Show, Skips the Yeti and other characters in Regular Show, The Skeleton King/The Alchemist in Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!, Fire Lord Ozai in Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Spectre in Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Senator Stampingston, Mr. Selatica and Chef Jean-Pierre in Metalocalypse, Woodrow Burns and King Charles in Transformers: Rescue Burns, Megatronus in Transformers: Titans Return and Power of the Primes, Skeletor/Skeletek in Masters of the Universe: Revelation and Revolution, Mesmer and Kurdman in Garfield and Friends, Master Control in The Garfield Show, Maltruant in Ben 10: Omniverse and the voice of Chucky in the 2019 re-imagining of the 1988 horror film, Child's Play. He is also set to voice Thorn the grizzly bear in the 2024 DreamWorks Animation film, The Wild Robot, and the Flying Dutchman in the 2025 film, The SpongeBob Movie: The Search for SquarePants.
He provides the voice of Dr. Reginald Riff Rat in Droopy and Dripple segment episode, "Droopyman Returns" on Tom & Jerry Kids Show, The Skull in the 2006 direct-to-video movie, Tom and Jerry: Shiver Me Whiskers and Santa Claus in Tom and Jerry: Santa's Little Helpers.
