Merlin Mouse

Merlin Mouse is Jerry's magician cousin appearing in Tom and Jerry Chuck Jones-era short in Haunted Mouse.

Characteristics[]

Bio and personality[]

Merlin is one of Jerry's cousins, the other being Muscles. However, their polars are complete opposite. Muscles is perceived to be more hard-lined, more prone to angry and easier to engage in fighting; Merlin, one hand, is calmer, more cautious, well-mannered and often avoid unnecessary clashes. Jerry has respect for both, but he is more favorable to Merlin than Muscles.

Appearance[]

Merlin is a magician mouse. That looks alike like his cousin Jerry, but with black hat, cape and yellow gloves. His fur tone differs slightly from Jerry and Muscles, which Magician's is lighter than Jerry and Muscles' is darker.

Merlin first appeared from the animated short "Haunted Mouse".

When Tom was waiting for Jerry to come out from his mouse hole, Jerry's rescuer came by - his cousin Magician. As soon as he arrived, he shook his magic wand lightly, which made Tom float in the air. Later on when Tom had captured him, he was still unfazed, even using his hypnotic skills to climb inside his mouth to rescue many animals. Mr. Rabbits who were hidden in his hat are also as smart and witty as Magician. And with a heavy hammer to Tom's head, he obediently surrendered and admitted defeat by holding a white flag.

Tom and Jerry Chase[]

Merlin (called Magician) returns in Tom and Jerry Chase, where he initially was a NPC, where he can performs a magic show where you can earn prizes at. He eventually becomes a playable character.
