No Tom Like The Present is an episode of Tom & Jerry Kids.

Premise[]
After an anvil drops on Tom, an angel cat tells him that he is on his 8th live, so he has one more chance to stay alive and tries to avoid any injuries.
Synopsis[]
Tom devises an elaborate trap to drop a safe on Jerry, but the trap backfires and lands on Tom instead. Tom's spirit then ascends up into the clouds where he takes the elevator to the 2nd floor, Eternity (Heaven). At the Pearly Gates, where St. Peter the Cat is there expecting Tom. The Saint looks at the look list of Tom's bad deeds against Jerry and said that his place is down below. So Tom is kicked back into the elevator which takes him to the Basement of Eternity (Hell), A Nightmarish domain that is reserved for Mouse Persecutors, Bank Robbers and Meter Maids. Tom gets kick out into a realm of fire and brimstone where a devil dog is waiting for the cat with some plans. However, a Kitten Angel appears with news that there has been a computer glitch, Tom hasn't used up all nine of His lives yet, but he's down to only one. Tom is super excited, but the angel tells Tom that he needs to avoid certain things to escape being sent down to the Basement of Eternity again.
Tom returns to life and is sitting on a chair in football pads trying to avoid getting hurt and losing his last life. Jerry attempts to taunt Tom, but the cat is cautious and refuses to chase Jerry. The mouse However, doesn't stop which is too much for Tom to ignore and starts to chase Jerry, ever so carefully. Tom tries to be extra cautious with what he does but ends up causing more harm for himself as Jerry is taking full advantage of this maliciously, but Tom orders a survival shelter to keep himself safe. Unfortunately, the shelter doesn't include batteries so Tom gets stuck inside, until Jerry hits the emergency button that blows up the shelter. Tom then puts on full scale armor to chase after Jerry, but the chase results in Tom getting picked up by an auto wrecker electromagnet and placed in a metal crusher, crushing Him like a cube.
At the hospital, Tom is being fawned over by three nurse kittens when the Kitten Angel shows up and tells Tom that there was a computer mix up with another cat named Tom. It turns out that Tom still has all his nine lives, which gives Tom renewed vigor to go chasing after Jerry once more.

Trivia[]
- The episode is similar to Heavenly Puss.
- Like in Heavenly Puss, Tom went to Heaven, but was rejected because of his bad records and sent to Hell instead.
- But unlike Heavenly Puss, this wasn't a nightmare and Tom returns to Earth because they're an error that he has only life left and trying to prevent himself from losing that last life and going back to Hell, but it turned out that there was another error that Tom still has all of his nine lives and the last life left was on a different Tom entirely.
- While in Heavenly Puss, Tom needs Jerry's signature for forgiveness to enter to Heaven before it's too late.
- Also unlike of the ending of Heavenly Puss, after Tom woke up from his nightmare, Tom becomes a kinder and gentler cat and hugging Jerry, in this cartoon, Tom starts Jerry all over again after finding out about the error.
- The title is a pun, No Time Like the Present.
