- Tom's body does gets shattered again just like in The A-Tom-Inable Snowman.
- The scene in which Jerry "conducts" the Northern Lights includes an iteration of Modest Mussorgsky's "Night on Bald Mountain," a classical song commonly associated with scenes of terror and made famous by the 1940 Disney film Fantasia.
- Like Ho Ho Horrors, Tom's William Hanna scream is reused. This is also the last time in Tom and Jerry Tales that William Hanna's scream is used.
- This is one of the few Tom and Jerry Tales episodes where Tom and Jerry both lose at the end as the fish they were fighting over ends up getting eaten by a polar bear.
