The Policeman is a minor and one-time character in the Tom and Jerry series. He appears as a minor antagonist in the 2002 animated film Tom and Jerry: The Magic Ring. Shortly after the Boy purchases Jerry (who has the Magic Ring stuck on his head) from the pet store, Tom locates them and snatches the mouse out of the boy's hand, causing him to cry. The mother, seeing Tom getting away with theft, goes to the Policeman, who was nearby on the street, standing guard. After the mother reports the crime Tom committed, the Policeman blows his whistle to summon a squad of police cars to go after the cat and arrest him, before returning Jerry to the Boy. He is voiced by Jess Harnell.
