Puppy Tale 1

Jerry meets the puppies

Jerry is seen putting a milk bottle on his doorstep and put a paper slip inside it, he yawns and was about to go back into his hole, but a sound of a car caught his attention. The car is seen driving quite fast, stops atop of a bridge, and throws a sack into the river, which the sack is clearly struggling to stay afloat. Jerry sees this, and grabs a stick and pushes the sack ashore and unties it. At first glance, it appears to have one puppy inside it, but the rest pops out, revealing five puppies. Most of the puppies run away excitedly, trampling Jerry as he looks on in confusion. Then, unbeknownst to Jerry, the sack appears to be moving, and out comes yet another puppy with a noticeable ring around its tail, and it immediately ambushes Jerry with a few friendly licks and barks at him. Jerry gestures for it to run off, which it reluctantly does so, but immediately follows him again. Jerry then tricks it with a game of fetch and throws the stick which the puppy runs to get it. The stick bounces and falls into the water off the edge. The puppy, losing its balance, and hangs off the edge for dear life, whining as it does so. Jerry immediately rushes to its rescue, with some difficulty but manages to save him, but ends up landing on Jerry, which the puppy proceed to lick him appreciatively. Jerry, looks at the pup sternly, if a bit annoyed, decided that the pup can't survive outside alone. Jerry then reluctantly signals the pup to follow him, which it happily does so. The pup attempts to enter Jerry's hole, but the mousehole proves to be too small for the pup's head. Jerry then lets him into the house, where the pup drinks some of Tom's milk. Jerry hides the pup before Tom wakes up, imitates the pup, and runs off. Tom chases Jerry, but soon finds that the pup is lapping his milk. Tom cannot stop the pup from drinking his milk, and when Tom confronts the pup, he gets a licking. Tom puts the pup outside, but Jerry scoops him up and puts him in a drawer. Once Jerry is down from the stool he was on, he sees the pup has escaped. He is seen yawning and then sleeping on Tom's bed with the latter, and he takes the cat's blanket, making Tom sneeze shortly after he finds his blanket is missing. Tom sees the pup again and pokes the pup only to get licked again by the latter. Tom takes the blanket and throws the pup outside, where it falls into a bottle. Jerry uses the windowsill string to free him and gets licked in the process, but is met by Tom soon after. Jerry presents the pup and he licks Tom again.

Tom chases Jerry, who is holding the pup, around the kitchen, until he trips them up with a sponge and they careen through the door. Tom goes to sleep, but is soon awakened by a sudden thunderstorm and he believes he is a Stinker when he mercilessly kicked out both the mouse and pup. He tries to ignore it and relax, but his conscience gets the better of him and as he imagines the pup and Jerry begging to be let in and with Tom tells them to leave, and him portrayed as a skunk. Then, he imagines both Jerry and the pup are possibly being washed away by flood water at the river. Tom, letting his conscience get the better of him, gets worried about this and ventures out in the thunderstorm to find Jerry and the pup. His whistling wakes up the pup (who was sleeping safely in a storm drain together with Jerry) but gets blown by the wind and nearly drowning in the river and yelping in distress. Jerry and the pup come to Tom's rescue. Together, Jerry and the pup drag Tom out of the river.

Puppy Tale 2

Even Tom and Jerry cannot resist the cuteness from the puppies.

Jerry heats up a can of soup and feeds it to the unconscious Tom, but when that failed to rouse him, the puppy licks him, waking him up. Looking resigned but grateful nonetheless, Tom leaves briefly to get a bowl of milk and a small bed, confirming the puppy's confusion that he can stay. Much to the pup's pleasure, the puppy calls for his siblings, which they enter the house, paws completely caked in mud, as they, including the last pup, all share the milk as Tom and Jerry looks on happily.
