Put A Ring On It is the first episode of Tom and Jerry in New York.
Synopsis
Tom tries to get a ring for Toodles.
Plot
The episode begins in New York morning. Jerry is waiting near the Hotdog Vendor's cart, where he observes a Hotdog dropped by an unwary consumer. The vendor allows Jerry to eat the sausage with sauces on the ground. Unfortunately for Jerry, Tom manages to steal the Hotdog using an umbrella, then he eats the sausage it in front of Jerry. The mouse gets infuriated, as the cat mocks Jerry, so he attacks Tom and bites his toe. Tom jumps from pain, loses his umbrella, and proceeds to chase Jerry down the street into a claw machine. Jerry hides inside the device and Tom hits it, causing the coins to spill.
Jerry is mocking Tom and suddenly, he reveals a ring hidden under a football ball. The cat immediately thinks of getting the ring and giving it to Toodles Galore. With coins around him, Tom begins the obtain the bounty.
