(The episode begins at the Central Park. Jerry and Quacker are leaping one past another. At one time, Jerry jumps at the frog and rides it. Suddenly, the frog bucks and Jerry falls down, rolling near a coin.)
Quacker: Find a penny, pick it up, all day you'll have good luck!
(Jerry rises on his feet. He grabs the coin, then he and Quacker play tossing the coin. A drum beat is heard in the background, when Jerry stops near a candy. He tosses the coin to Quacker and picks it up. Quacker grabs the coin and spots a single pop corn grain.)
Quacker: Gulp! (Quacker swallows the popcorn, then he tosses the penny back to Jerry. Jerry has unwrapped his candy. He catches the coin with one hand, then he throws it back to Quacker and swallows the candy.) Hey, Jerry! Look what I found! (Jerry turns his gaze and shows joy. When he approaches Quacker, it turns out that the duck found a toy yacht. Jerry and Quacker put the boat into the water. A moment later, Tom emerges behind a tree.)
Tom: *stares with a nasty gaze* (Tom heads to the direction, where Quacker and Jerry are cruising together, Jerry wears a life jacket. He leaps into the water, close to the yacht. After some bubbles come to the surface. Tom emerges rapidly.) *yells silently* (Tom enters the shore. A fish is holding his large toe. Tom rips the fish off and throws it back to the pond, then he looks at his toe. The fish has bit off the fur on his toe.)
Jerry and Quacker: A-hahahaha!
Tom: *grabs a pebble and hurls it at the yacht* (The sail stops the pebble, bends, and ejects it at the no swimming sign, then it ricochets directly at Tom's face, breaking his teeth. Tom falls down for a while and immediately rises. He shakes his head and looks at his opponents.)
Jerry and Quacker: Hahahaha!
Quacker: That was a close one. Good thing we have this lucky penny, right Jerry? (Quacker shows the coin.)
Jerry and Quacker: I-hihihihi!
(Tom turns head away from Jerry and Quacker. He imagines himself being rich and driving a golden limousine. Hip-hop music is playing in the background.)
Singing voice: "Oh yeah..." (Tom dressed like a hip-hop singer is nodding his head. Toodles dressed in chauffeur outfit is driving his limousine.) "... yeah, yeah, yeah..." (A tin with fish approaches Tom. It opens itself and its contents fall into Tom's opened mouth. Tom is chewing, when the empty tin makes place with a jug with milk. Tom opens his mouth again and the jug pours milk into his throat. The dream ends.)
Tom: *winks* (Tom turns his gaze back into the pond. He smiles nastily and proceeds to Jerry and Quacker. Quacker stares at Tom with terror in his eyes. Tom quickly snatches the penny from Quacker.) *admiring his loot*
(A fly hovers by and sits on the coin. The insect escapes, when the frog hits Tom's hand instead of the fly. Tom and the frog are contesting for the penny. They slam and one another and fall into the water with a splash. After a long moment, Tom runs from the water with the coin he mugged from Quacker. While running, Tom steps on a bee.)
Tom: YEEEOOOW! (Tom jumps on one foot, holding another one in pain. Crowd of people rushes at him, causing dust to cover the screen. After a moment, Tom winds up inside a garbage can. After a brief struggle, he gets rid of the can. When he tries to run, a chewed-over bubblegum is holding his paw. The first attempt to run fails and Tom hits a bench. The second attempt winds up the same. Only the third attempt makes Tom break the gum. While running, Tom stomps a bee again.) AUUUGH! (Tom jumps on his leg to the pond, where Jerry and Quacker remain on their positions.)
Quacker: If you find a penny, it's good luck. But if you steal one, it's bad luck.
Tom: *Examines the penny he stole from Quacker*
Quacker: It's a bad penny now, Tom. You ruined it! (Quacker slaps Tom's hand.)
Butch: Hiya, Tom! (Tom turns his gaze to the rear. Butch is walking down the lane.) Got any good jokes? Apart from your face, I mean. Ya-ha-hah! (Tom strikes nasty face expression, then he tosses the supposedly corrupted penny at Butch. The coin lands inside a clover patch. Butch stops.) Hey, it must be my lucky day. (Butch picks a four-leaf clover from the patch.) A four-leaf clover!
Tom: *performs a facepalm*
Butch: Well, hello Toots. (Toodles is accompanying Butch.) My lucky day just got luckier! (Butch and Toodles walk for a moment. They stop at the hot-dog vendor's cart. The business owner gives Butch a hamburger.)
Tom: *drops his jaw to the ground*
(Tom recovers, and rushes forwards. He stops at the clover patch he had tossed the corrupted penny. After a moment of frantically search, Tom finds the coin. When running, he trips over sleeping Spike. Tom rises, and keeps running, which awakens Spike. At the same time, Butch and Toodles are sitting near the vendor's cart. Butch is holding the hamburger. Before the cats manage to have a bite, Tom approaches and slaps away the burger from Butch's hand, causing salt to spill from a container.)
Butch: What the... Tsk, tsk. Bad luck for you, buddy. (Butch points spilled salt. Tom is visibly worried, while Toodles remains confused.)
Tom: *grabs the salt container and empties it from behind* (Toodles is even more worried, while Butch seems enjoying the show. Jerry and Quacker approach the scene. Tom makes three swings and hurls the salt container away. He turns around and notices, that the container landed in Spike's eye socket. The container falls off.)
Spike: *growls*
Tom: AAAAAAUUGH! (Tom flees in terror. Spike goes after him, while Toodles and Butch are watching the pursuit. Jerry and Quacker are also observing Tom being chased by Spike past the bridge. While running, Tom discards the coin. Spike stops at it.)
Spike: Hey, I know an unlucky penny when I see one. Youse take it! (Spike kicks the cursed coin at Tom.)
Tom: *kicks back the coin*
(Spike watches the cursed penny ricocheting - from a fence to a hydrant, a monument, and finally breaking a woman's mirror.)
Spike: That's seven years bad luck.
(Spike walks away while Tom stands worried. An angry woman approaches Tom. She shows him the cursed penny. Tom falls back until he falls into the fountain. He emerges with a load of coins taken from the fountain's bottom. When he moves to the ground, he gets interrupted.)
A man: Look at that awful cat stealing pennies from the charity fountain! (A mob of angry people surrounds Tom.)
Quacker's voice: But if you steal the penny, it's bad luck.
Tom: *drops his loot* (Tom flees to the monument. A lightning bolt strikes it from behind. Tom leaps and narrowly avoids falling monument.) AAAAAAUUGH! (Dramatic music is playing as Tom runs past the park. A thunder claps and lightnings nearly strike Tom. Tom runs to the park entry, where taxi cabs are driving.) AAAAAAUUGH! (Tom retreats to the park. Jerry and Quacker meet him near a boulder.)
Quacker: Change your luck, Tom. Do something good! (Tom stops.)
Tom: *thinks* (Tom has no idea, what to do. He gets overrun by a skateboarder. Tom rises, and runs away from the park. Jerry and Quacker follow him to the gate. Tom is running down a street, where pianos keep falling down near him. Tom escapes piano bombardment and a wrecking ball until he reaches the crossroads. He falls into a manhole. A moment later, Tom with another penny in his hand and leaps above an alligator.) AAAAAUUGH! (The alligator catches Tom and eat him to death with his jaws and never to be seen again in this episode, then he spits the penny. The coin lands near Jerry and Quacker.)
Quacker: Hey, look what I found! (Jerry looks at the coin with joy. The episode ends.)
