Rainbow Candy Shop is the second episode of Tom and Jerry Play. This episode alongside the previous short aired exclusively in Cartoon Network Japan on November 11, 2022 during the Cheese Day event.

Plot[]

The episode taking place in the Rainbow Candy shop. Tom sits on a heart shaped bean bag holding lollipop, wearing shades. Jerry and Tuffy are delighted by the shop there are in. Tuffy continuous walks before Jerry stops him, the two they look for candy to eat and both set upon Tom's three stacks of lollipop. As Tom taking selfies with his phone, The two sneak in a selfie with Tom to eat his strawberry lollipops. When Tom checks on the photo he sees Jerry and Tuffy had eaten his lollipop, Tom becomes shock upon this.

Jerry runs away from the scene until he realized Tuffy was not with him as Tuffy is still eating the candy. Tom approaches the little mouse and picks innocent little Tuffy. A large star presumably throwned by Jerry goes into Tom's mouth that transfers him into a star. Jerry catch Tuffy, he carries him away from danger.

Jerry stops on the counter, Tuffy then wonders off that ends him into a candy pit. Jerry uses a rescuing bouy on Tuffy and attaches a rope at the end, he swims in the sea of treats. Tom plan intervene by using a fish rod that stops them from proceeding. Annoyed Tuffy approaches Tom on the line of the rod, when he reaches, Tuffy bites Tom's nose. Tuffy lands on his bottom causing him to cry, Jerry then becomes furious at Tom, as the cat turns yellow in fear. After that event, nervous Tom feeds Tuffy sugar as Jerry is happy watches. The episode closes on a happy Tuffy.

  • There are references to 1946's The Milky Waif.
    • Tuffy appears in the episode with his curious nature.
    • After hurting Tuffy, Jerry gets furious that Tom turns yellow, but without using the infamous roar and any persistence of violence.
