Synopsis[]
Plot[]
The episode shows Tuffy in the classroom at his desk waiting as the clock rings and Jerry wearing a red bow tie and glasses comes out through the curtains. As the teacher, Jerry directs his student to the picture sequence with his pointer showing a drawing of a cat chasing a mouse, a paper note of an apple, Spike the dog and milk. Tuffy hugs the milk bottle but Jerry wags his fingers, grabs the paper with Spike on it and barks at the Tom plushie making it fall down. Tuffy laughs but nods when Jerry glares at him.
Next, Jerry introduces Lesson 2 which is get the cheese without waking the cat. The real Tom is sleeping as the screen moves up to the plate of cheese on the countertop. Tuffy watches Jerry tiptoes up to the blinds which he uses as an elevator, a cup and spoon as a rowboat and oar across the sink then finally obtains the cheese. Jerry eats his prize cheese but watches Tuffy who approaches and wakes Tom who helpfully gives the cheese to him while his teacher dashes away. Tom then goes back to sleep while Tuffy swallows the whole lot at once causing his stomach to assume a large wedge shape.
Lesson 3 shows tying a bell around the cat. Tuffy and Jerry are one bell on string each. Jerry goes first, ties the bell around Tom who pretends he was sleeping. After waking up, Tom chases Jerry squeezing through the mousehole and has him cornered in the walls but Tuffy walks behind and gives him a special bowtie bell. Tom ties his gift around his neck, pats Tuffy on the head as his way of thanking him while Jerry remains dumbfounded.
At the final scene, Jerry is now the student holding a crayon angrily and Tuffy is now the teacher who chuckles and shows him the board of a cat and mouse happily being friends together.
