Scrunch Time is an episode of the fourth season of The Tom and Jerry Show (2014), It is the 210th episode overall.
Synopsis[]
Tom becomes obsessed with his new crinkle ball and drives the rest of the household crazy, forcing them to take drastic measures to rid the house of the annoying toy.
Plot[]
The episode begins with Jerry whipping away a pancake with a pink crust and a blue wrapper, Tom, who had followed him secretly, also stops him quickly to escape. Jerry tricks the cat into thinking it was for him. Tom, falling into the lie, makes expressions saying "is it for me?" which Jerry nods asking Tom to close his eyes and open to give it to him, Tom confidently listens to him, taking a while to figure out the trick and starting a classic chase for the cupcake, the victory goes to Jerry who manages to enter and take the dessert.
Just then, Tom's owner, Ginger, arrives, bringing a new toy as a gift for the cat. The curious and hurried feline goes towards her, excited to receive the gift she brought him, expecting something incredible as food, unfortunately that emotion fades when what he received from his owner was a "Crinkly ball" yellow, he reluctantly accepts the gift at first, playing with said ball just a few arguns and his owner thinking that he would like it over time but The thought upon receiving said gift along with the expressions is "A ball? Really? It's for dogs", after doing that he simply drops said ball, returning the way he came from on his back, lying down on his bed and then drinking water from his bowl.
At that moment, Jerry comes out of his mousetrap curious and lurking while Tom sleeps, he reaches for the ball, starting to play with what was the cat's gift, Tom wakes up for a moment but without moving from his bed, he circles his eyes and watches Jerry play without interest at first while he was drinking his water, after half a minute, Tom Sr. approaches and snatches the ball with which he swore to proceed to put it away for a few seconds and with a gesture of disgust he returns it and moves away. Jerry, annoyed, just makes a face at Tom to try to play with the ball again, which fails since Tom, now addicted, begins to play with what was his gift, which bothers Jerry even more than before, so he proceeds to pull his tail to get him away. of the toy without much success causing him to receive a blow on the head and be slapped away, an already fascinated Tom begins to play non-stop with the Crinkly ball that he received, in a mocking gesture he put the ball in his mouth and gave it to him. showed Jerry trying to reach it, causing me to receive a strong blow on the head with an umbrella from the rodent and causing it to swallow the toy, Tom pressed his stomach with an index finger and mockingly showed him his tongue and opened his mouth in front of him, challenging him with a grimace that said "try to reach it now if you can," believing that the rodent would give up, but said thought was strongly pushed away when Jerry grabbed the feline's tongue and Using it like an elastic band he pushes himself into Tom's mouth, the feline, due to the impact and impression of Jerry's act, swallows the mouse and then proceeds to look at the viewer with an expression that said "Did he really do that? It was weird"
The camera gives us a view inside Tom's stomach where we can see Jerry playing with the ball happily without caring about what was inside Tom's stomach, what forced the cat to swallow him or its gastric environment in which it was found, In addition to Jerry and the ball were a paper clip, a yellow furry ball and a toy mouse were in Tom's stomach, the cat in an attempt to get away from Jerry and get his ball back, coughed and spit on both of them. stomach, when Jerry came out he was holding the ball and now being the one who swallowed the Crinkly ball causing the feline to let out a cry of fright and amazement at such an act of the rodent, Tom in an attempt to recover his ball pulled and stretched the mouse's tail to proceed to release it, causing such an impact to expel the toy from inside Jerry and causing it to roll and quickly enter Jerry's mouse hole, Tom, in an attempt to recover the ball, was the first to run and enter Jerry's home, the mouse gets an idea and in an attempt to get Tom out of his home he sticks a fork in the feline's butt and due to the pain he successfully escapes through the wall, Jerry laughs at the reaction and then runs away with the toy in his hands. In another room the rodent found a small table with a drawer next to a sofa and on top of the table a digital clock from which he proceeded to open the drawer causing that Tom collided with it and his neck stretched, he calmly closed and then tried to grab the cause but was quickly stopped by him. Jerry suggested playing with the ball in turns every 10 seconds and Tom accepted without encouragement, rolling his eyes around, Jerry taking It was his turn to bounce on top of the ball and then pass it to Tom and he grabbed the ball and then quickly fled, running out of sight, leaving Jerry with a disappointed expression that said "I already imagined this was going to happen." Returned with the cat, he fled in a hurry to then look behind him and see the rodent throw the digital clock at him, which he dodged by lowering his head and when he barely looked ahead he collided with an ornament on the handrail of the stairs that led to the second floor of the building. the house and causing him to drop the Crankly ball.
Both Tom and Jerry enter Spike's house causing a fight and leaving the place in a hurry, Jerry being the one who had the Crankly ball in one of his hands, During the escape, Spike chases them both and heads to the alley where they pass over Butch's opponent and crush the black cat that was resting in the trash, waking him up in a bad way and causing him to join the chase, In the chase, another brown cat with red hair, more specific, Meathead sees them and decides to join in, without knowing why at first, but letting himself be carried away, following the rest of the group. During the chase, the first to enter through a wooden fence was Jerry, followed by Tom then Spike who simply crossed it with his body and breaking the fence on the spot followed by the last two cats Butch and Meathead who also entered the house.
Returned to the cat's backyard and possibly Butch and Meathead realizing why the chase (or as it was implied at the end) fought with all their might for the toy causing the ball to eventually come out and break. in thousands of parts to the ground, a bird that was previously seen swallows the pieces and flies away leaving the group of animals impressed by what just happened, a few minutes later Tom, Jerry and Spike walked towards a beach chair with a newspaper having depressed expressions on their faces and sitting down. He then lets out a sigh of sadness, During that state Tom moved his hind legs causing the newspaper to ring and getting an idea that he quickly shared with the rest.
The trio of animals quickly turned some of the newspaper into some Crankly balls and proceeded to play with them. In turn, Rick and Ginger arrived, complaining that they had hardly slept at all last night so they could stop by to see what their pets and Jerry were doing with the newspaper balls in an annoying way and thus ending the chapter.

- Cricket from "One-Way Cricket" reappears.
- Ginger is responsible for the events of the episode because she gave Tom the rubber ball and Tom and Jerry were out of control.
- One of the few episodes where cat screeching used, it's also used in, Tom Foolery, Here's Lookin' A-Choo, Kid, What a Pain!, Just Plane Nuts, Un-Welcome Home and Tick, Tick, Tick.
- Tom's reaction that he makes when he & Jerry sees Spike & Tyke playing with the crinkle ball is the same reaction from the 1948 cartoon "Mouse Cleaning" after realizing that he cleaned the wall with a bucket of ink-filled water, which made it worse.
