Sky's The Limit is the first episode of the Tom and Jerry series, Tom and Jerry Singapore.

Synopsis[]

Tom & Jerry take their chase to the skies. Kite-flying has never been this intense. Who will emerge as the ultimate master of strings?

Plot[]

A stunning, breezy day filled with kites soaring through the sky in a vibrant, stadium-like setting at Marina Barrage in Singapore. Tom smugly flies his green-patterned kite while sipping on a grape juice beverage. As he enjoys the moment, he notices another kite flying nearby — it's Jerry, which irritates him. Determined to keep Jerry from sharing the sky, Tom flicks the mouse with his toe, sending Jerry tumbling into the grassy field and causing him to drop his kite.

Realizing he no longer has control over the kite, Jerry scrambles to catch it before it flies away. Meanwhile, Tom, seizing the opportunity for mischief, slyly cuts the string of Jerry's kite while the mouse still clutches the handle. The sudden loss of control sends Jerry crashing into a cooler, and a jar of jelly falls from it, landing on his head and hilariously flattening it. As Jerry struggles to regain his balance, his kite sails away into the sky.

Tom laughs at Jerry's expense after pulling off his mischievous trick. In retaliation, Jerry yanks down Tom's pants, exposing his undergarments. Caught off guard, Tom quickly tries to pull his pants back up, only to realize he’s lost his grip on the handle of his kite. As he attempts to retrieve it, he trips due to his pants being down, watching helplessly as his kite drifts away. Fuming, Tom bolts after Jerry, who is now escaping him. In his chase, Tom spots a picnic basket and seizes the opportunity to grab a handful of food, hurling a shish kebab, a durian, a coconut, and even a soccer ball at the fleeing mouse. Meanwhile, Jerry manages to find a pair of scissors from another picnic. Quick-witted, he races to a nearby balloon and uses the scissors to cut its string, causing the balloon to lift him high into the air. As Tom looks on in frustration, Jerry floats away, successfully escaping the annoyed cat.

Tom grabs another pair of scissors, eager to mimic Jerry's earlier move and chase after him. Determined, he prepares to take flight on a balloon, but in his excitement, he forgets to hold onto the tether above him and accidentally cuts the rope he’s under. He plummets down toward a dumpster, where he fortuitously discovers a box containing a drone.

Meanwhile, Jerry relaxes on his balloon, confident that Tom can’t reach him from above. However, he underestimates Tom, who re-emerges flying with the drone, skillfully controlling it with a remote. Tom lets out a long, sinister laugh as he revels in his potential victory. But Jerry, quick on his feet, uses the rope he’s still attached to as a lasso and snatches the remote from Tom’s grasp. The laughter abruptly stops as Tom realizes Jerry has taken control. Panic sets in as he desperately tries to retrieve the remote from the crafty mouse. However, Jerry, using the remote to steer the drone, sends Tom swinging uncontrollably. The drone struggles under the weight of the kites it has collected, and with a loud explosion, it gives out, sending Tom tumbling through the air.

Fortunately, Tom manages to grab a nearby triangle kite and uses it as a glider. He lets out a triumphant laugh as he glides toward the ground. But Jerry, sensing the danger, grows alarmed as Tom approaches at high speed. Just as Tom begins to feel victorious, a flock of birds flies into his path, causing holes to tear through his kite. With dismay, he starts to fall again. As he spirals downward, Tom's mind races for a solution. Inspiration strikes, and he attempts to fashion the torn kite into origami wings but fails miserably, resulting in another uncontrolled descent until he lands awkwardly on a large balloon shaped like a carp fish. Desperately gripping it to avoid a fall, Tom experiences a moment of relief.

But then he glances around and notices the balloon is tethered to the ground by a long rope — and there’s Jerry, waving cheerfully at him. Realization dawns on Tom; he knows what’s coming next. Sure enough, Jerry pulls out a pair of scissors with a mischievous grin, preparing to cut the rope holding Tom's balloon. In a stroke of ironic humor, Tom holds up a sign emblazoned with a waving hand gesture, as if to say goodbye. As Jerry snips the rope, Tom waves the sign one last time in resignation, accepting his fate. He is sent soaring into the sky, vanishing into the distance. The screen closes in on the sign, lingering for a moment with its parting message, before it begins to fall. The sign slowly descends, his waving gesture a final farewell before it ultimately fades from view.
