Slick J. McWolf, commonly referred to as Slick Wolf, or McWolf, is a character created by Tex Avery who is often acted as Droopy's archnemesis/archrival or sometimes frenemy and Red's pursuer and appeared in many Tom and Jerry media.
Characteristics[]
Personality[]
A very tall wolf, Slick McWolf often prides himself as the charmest, meanest and also the most talented one, so he tends to have hostility on Droopy and tries to get rid of Droopy. Like Tom, he is also quite brilliant, but never has luck to outwit Droopy.
In The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show, Slick McWolf's antagonistic nature has appeared to die down quite significantly and has a much calmer personality compared to his earlier appearances. He also speaks with a British accent in this show as opposed to the American accent he had beforehand.
In Tom & Jerry Kids Show, McWolf's main goals in life is to be first at everything, take over the world, and make Droopy and Dripple's life miserable, and sometimes wants to remain with Miss Vavoom. In many episodes, he ends up defeated. However, he does have a few good endings.
According to "Eradicator Droopy", one of his favorite foods is broccoli, to the point that Droopy mentions that it is his "weakness". This is strengthened further in episodes such as "Twelve Angry Sheep", in which he mentions that broccoli pie is his favorite dessert, and "Round 'em up, Bub", in which he asks the police if they still serve broccoli on Saturdays. Ironically, broccoli is one of the most hated foods by people.
McWolf is also a skilled musician with a variety of instruments. It is revealed in "Scrapheap Symphony" that he can play the flute.
In The Tom and Jerry Show (2014), his personality is different compared to the previous two iterations of the character. He appears to be mature. This trait is based on his apperance in Little Red Rural Hood with the Country Wolf. He is seen often with his cousin, whom he keeps in control of his antics.
