Slinging in the Rain is the fourth episode in the second season of The Tom and Jerry Show (2014).

Synopsis

Tom is left outside when a rainstorm approaches. When he gets indoors and the rain is gone, Jerry and Tuffy torment him, Spike, and Tyke by using water on them.

Plot

It is a sunny day and Spike decides to use this opportunity to fix his dog house as Tyke watches. At the same time, Tom is playing croquet in the backyard using Jerry and Tuffy wrapped in balls of yarn as balls. The two eventually free themselves and hide in the doghouse until Spike kicks them out. After the mice run inside, Tom and Spike hear a report on the radio that a severe rainstorm is about to arrive, prompting Rick and Ginger to lock all the doors and windows. Then Tom chased by a small thundercloud, while Jerry and Tuffy watch the chase. After hiding in the doghouse, Spike berates Tom for being scared of a small cloud only to see a bigger thundercloud arrive soon after promoting them and Tyke to run into the house to hide in the closet and cupboard respectively.

Eventually the rain stops, so Jerry and Tuffy decide to trick Tom into thinking it's still raining using a garden hose and various kitchen items. Jerry chases Tom with a water gun, with Tom thinking that the thundercloud is after them, causing him to grab all the pots and pans in the kitchen to shield himself, inadvertently taking Tyke as well. Spike gets to Tom and Tyke only to see rain in the living room thanks to Jerry. The two attempt to plug the leaks but the house soon floods with water as Tuffy left the kitchen sink on where they all spill out into the backyard.

Seeing that it's still sunny out, Spike and Tom realize that Jerry and Tuffy tricked them. But before they could do anything about it, it starts raining again, prompting all five to take shelter in the doghouse despite the leaks. Seeing the mice in the doghouse, Spike and Tom use them to plug the leaks in the roof as payback for messing with them.
