Premise[]
A little boy finds a space dog named Urfo. Urfo is hiding from another space adventure.
Synopsis[]
We begin in the bedroom of an African American boy named Buzz who is running amuck in his bedroom at bed time with his toy laser blasting things. His dad comes in and asks what he's doing and the boy explains that Urfo, Unidentified Retriever From Outer Space, landed across the street and the boy fought him. This is Buzz's explanation as to why his room is a mess. Buzz's dad looks at him and tells him that the Urfo story is getting old as an excuse. The dad puts Buzz to bed and tells him to be quiet and go to sleep. After the dad leaves the room, Urfo, looking very different than previous incarnations, appears and startles Buzz. Urfo explains that over time the figment of Buzz's imagination that kept getting use transformed Urfo into a real thing. Suddenly, Big Fig, they guy they send to pick up lost figments, comes knocking looking for Urfo. Buzz lets Big Fig in but changes his mind once he sees him and closes the door on him and then hides under the rug with Urfo. Urfo see a sock and decides tells Buzz that Big Fig loves socks. So they take the sock and lure Big Fig into a toy chest and lock him there. Urfo and Buzz go to sleep with Urfo floating above Buzz's bed and stealing the covers. The next day on the bus, Urfo appears next to Buzz much to his annoyance. Buzz tells Urfo the order of things and Urfo disappears but a girl that seems to have a crush on Buzz comes walking up and sits next to him. As Buzz is chiding Urfo under his breath, the girl hears and gets mad but as she's distracted Urfo kisses her to make her think that Buzz did it. Buzz is really not happy about this development. At school, the teacher asks for everyone's homework, but due to Urfo, Buzz forgot to do the assignment. Urfo says no problem and makes a copy of someone else's homework which Buzz hands him. Unfortunately, the homework had another student's name on it so Buzz is kept after class to write out sentences. Urfo then helps Buzz out by copying all the sentences on the chalk board and as Buzz scold him we hear Big Fig calling for Urfo. Urfo runs away and eludes Big Fig with another sock. At the ice cream shop we find the two arguing till Buzz starts shooting his laser at Urfo who runs away but is then chased by Big Fig. We then see a sad Buzz hoping that Big Fig didn't capture Urfo and suddenly Urfo appears and the two walk away heading home.
