The Tiger is a minor character in the 2021 live-action/computer-animated Tom & Jerry film. He is a Bengal tiger that is part of the wedding between Ben and Preeta, as a surprise, and begins to antagonize Tom, Jerry, Spike, and Toots Galore.

Appearance[]

The Tiger appears to be a typical Bengal tiger. He has orange fur with black stripes, a white underbelly and muzzle, a pink nose, yellow and green eyes, and white tufts of fur sticking out on opposite sides of his head.

Role in the Movie[]

The Tiger was seen in the Tom and Jerry 2021 movie, as one of the animals seen in Ben and Preeta’s wedding. Everything in the wedding goes fine, until Tom and Jerry start causing chaos again, this time involving all of the animals in the wedding, especially the Tiger. When Spike starts aiming for Tom, the Tiger soon joins in. He starts chasing the two (presumably because they are smaller than him), but his leash prevented him from doing so. The Tiger soon starts aiming for Toots (and the peacock next to her) and roars at her, and soon tries to get her off a lamp.

When Tom, Jerry, and Spike’s chase begins to intensify and create the biggest fight cloud ever, the Tiger tried his best to avoid it. However, his efforts proved fruitless and he got sucked in. Giving up, the Tiger fled out of the hotel (presumably off-screen) never to be in on the wedding again.

When Ben and Preeta reconcile in the second wedding, the Tiger returns with the other wedding animals, this time not chasing them, presumably realizing that the smallest animals are not very mischievous after all.

Trivia[]

  • The Tiger heavily resembles Shere Khan, the main antagonist is of Disney's 1967 animated film The Jungle Book.
    • He also resembles Rajah, the pet tiger of Jasmine in the 1992 animated Disney film Aladdin. Interestingly, when Preeta was dressed up for the wedding, she resembled Naomi Scott's portrayal of Jasmine in the 2019 remake of Aladdin by Guy Ritchie.
  • Although he can speak, he only says one whole line in the entire movie ("No. Me!") and mostly growls and roars like real tigers do.
  • He is the only antagonistic animal in the movie that is antagonistic to both Tom and Spike.
