Tom & Jerry is a video game for the Game Boy Color. It was released on September 27, 1999 by Majesco Sales Inc. and licensed by Nintendo.
Plot[]
Jerry hears Tuffy screaming for help that he is lost. Tuffy's shouting gets Tom's attention; it is up to Jerry to find Tuffy first before Tom does.
Gameplay[]
The player would play as Jerry, starting with three hearts acting as lives points. Health points are based on Jerry's reaction, with 4-6 minutes to complete a level. Jerry can collect cheese and throw rocks at enemies.
There are bonus card match games between each level.
In the first level, there is a car that can be used for a brief amount of time. The level is completed after touching the exit sign.
Levels[]
Out of Bounds[]
- Level 1: The Streets: While in the streets, you must avoid lids flying out of its place, as you traverse through the level at one point you use a car that you can ride on.
- Level 2: The Park: In a grassland field you are by introduce to the common living aggressive flower enemies (some will attack if approached, awhile some would not), trees that pour acorns at Jerry, and Tom also appears hiding inside of trash bins. Jerry would head to a fountain where geysers spew out and can be used as platforms, you need to watch out for a few stationary spikes until Jerry approach the exit sign that is seen guarded between two flowers.
- Level 3: The Rooftops: You start off the level with a toy solider roaming around the yard as well as mousetraps lying around this level that will launch itself if Jerry jumps over it. When Jerry enters the pipes, it will send Jerry up to the window. Tom is also seen again hiding behind brick walls of the house, along with the aggressive flowers from the previous level. The exit sign is seen in top of the rooftop.
Inside Looking Out[]
- Level 4: The Lounge: Jerry is now inside the house, you go upstairs to progress through the level, the bouncy sofas will help you reach high places, there is also a window-like evaluator that will transport you, to a upper part of the section. safe will land on you when you approach, in the exit Tom is seen guarding through wall.
- Level 5: The Shower: There are little pools of bath tubs you can swim in, there vine you can jump. l, a shower will turn and can damage the player, and toilets that will flush in contact, there also a few mini-sharks that are very uncommon and urchin spikes seen in the water. Note: Tom is nowhere to be seen the level.
- Level 6: The Kitchen: the level contains various obstacles seen that Jerry must avoid the leaky pipes, fiery stoves, and spikes, and falling plates Tom is seen in trashcan again, and toy solider are found scouting around an area
A Stroll Outside[]
- Level 7: The Garage: It introduces blades, and various obstacles from the last level. Tom is seen hiding in varies place trying to scratch Jerry
- Level 8: The Garden: There are pond areas that Jerry can swim where a few yellow fish is swimming very slowly back and forth, Jerry also has to avoid sharp spikes ceilings awhile swimming, awhile some flowers are seen in the land.
- Level 9: The Treetops: Jerry needs to jump through tree branches to get through the level, thorns are at the bottom of the ground, Tom hiding behind trees, and Toy soldiers on the branches, the bird holes which can transport you down an area, the exit sign is nearby by electric poles that can harm when stand on top.
Upstairs Mayhem[]
- Level 10: The Bedroom: the level layout uses some mechanic from the fourth level, Tom is inside of barrels, and mousetraps, toy soldiers and anvil are cluttered around the level. There is a bed (similar to the chair) that can help you reach to places.
The Ending; Tom finally catches Jerry, Tuffy drops a plate on Tom's head, which Jerry escapes the grasp of Tom, as Jerry and Tuffy stands on a defeated Tom.
