The Toy Mouse is a wind-up mouse that appears in the Tom and Jerry short Mouse Trouble. Tom uses it to lure Jerry out of his mouse hole.
Role in the Episode[]
It is wound up by Tom as a way to trick and eat Jerry, since the mouse-catching book that he uses says that "mice are suckers for dames". The trap that comes with the toy is a fake hotel, with Tom placing his mouth at the door. However, this backfires when he ends up eating the toy instead and ruining his teeth. The voice box still works inside Tom's stomach, and for the rest of the short, its voice can be heard from his mouth whenever he hiccups, even after he dies and becomes an angel.
Appearance[]
It has the appearance of a white female mouse with red lipstick, a yellow bow with blue polka dots on her head and a yellow dress with blue stripes and frills.
Notes[]
- The Toy Mouse is the first mechanical female mouse that Tom uses to lure Jerry. Tom uses this trick again in The Mouse from H.U.N.G.E.R., New Mouse in the House and Hi, Robot.
- Jerry eventually does the same trick to Tom with an attractive remote controlled mechanical female cat in The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show episode School for Cats.
