Tom gets out of the pool as Toodles tells him and Butch she's all out of ice cubes so they both fight over the bucket to get some more while crashing into objects. As Butch was about the enter Toodles' house, Tom was already inside there slamming the door wide open and taking the bucket with him to the kitchen where Butch slams the freezer door in his face and fills the bucket with ice cubes and hurries out of the house but Tom stops him with the same rake he walked into before. Few hours later, Tom wearing his bow tie, checking the time on his five watches and looks in the mirror and making himself neater when his hair pops up so he uses hair gel to rub it on until it becomes messier so he tries again and makes his hair stylist. Meanwhile in the living room, Rick munches popcorn while watching a horror movie on the couch as Jerry and Tuffy enters and hides under when they see Ginger coming in to tell Rick she's meeting her girlfriends for dinner and he tells her to have fun.
As Ginger comments on Rick watching movies and gives him blankets, Tuffy runs to get popcorn on the floor but Jerry drags him back so they don’t get spotted. Jerry and Tuffy share worried looks while watching the horror movie. Butch puts on lipstick holding a broken mirror, kisses a letter and writes 'TOM' on it. Thinking it's a monster, Tuffy jumps in the popcorn bowl followed by Jerry after hearing the Doctor on TV said 'The Terror'. Tuffy screams but Jerry covers his mouth to calm him down. Butch was already outside Toodles' house playing a guitar, banging a paint bucket as a drum and sings a song getting her attention. Although Toodles was expecting Tom, Butch sets out a table trash can but she declines because sticking close to her phone in case he calls knowing he'll be here soon and shuts the door as Butch tries to follow her inside then he gets an idea. Back in the basement, Tom was still struggling to pull the plunger off his face as an imagery of Toodles reminds him to be there at 8 o' clock and not to be late before disappearing.
Tom finally pulls the plungers off but collapses onto wall paper which gets stuck to his chest and pulls it off removing his hair causing him to sream. Jerry and Tuffy heard the scream thinking it wasn't from the TV and after watching the movie, they starts to do what the characters are doing but then Tuffy falls to the floor. Butch was pretending to be on the phone to Tom saying he's at a card game tonight as Toodles hears him and believes everything he said. Trivia[]
- The way the Three kittens treat Butch is similar to how Fluff, Muff and Puff treat Tom (and Jerry) in Triplet Trouble.
- Matter in fact the Kittens are identical to Fluff, Muff and Puff, except they're two girls and a boy, while Fluff, Muff and Puff are both boys.
- Butch called Toodles "Toots" a few times in this cartoon, which Butch is technically correct because the character is actually Toots, not Toodles. The actual Toodles Galore is a taller and more voluptuous female white cat wearing a dark blue or light purple ribbon around her neck with a bow on the back, but she's called "Toots" in Tom and Jerry in New York.
- For some reason, their names are mixed-up.
- Toots' mother looks like Toots except that she's taller, she has different design in the second season starting with Here Comes the Bribe.
