"When the Rooster Crows" is the 15th episode of The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show.
Synopsis[]
Jerry uses a stranded circus rooster to rudely awaken Tom, but it gives itself away with an intensified crowing.
Plot[]
The episode opens in a bustling circus, where a captivated crowd watches the spectacular "World's Loudest Rooster." The circus host showcases the rooster's dramatic reaction when a flashlight is shined into its face. As the carnival winds down, the rooster inadvertently bounces out of the circus vehicle and lands in the home of Tom and Jerry. When Jerry hear the crash, he use his flashlight to checked it. And when Jerry torched up flashlight while he's afraid of shadow, the shadow revealed to be rooster that has been escaped from circus truck, crowing before Jerry shut him from getting let Tom waking up again. Afterwards, he tried to point go to his mouse hole but no avail as rooster didn't follow him so he pushed the rooster into mouse hole instead but it's stuck due to the rooster are not big enough to enter the mouse hole. Unable to struggle pushed it, Jerry using one of his hand to pulled down rooster's head so he can pushed the rooster even harder that it succeeded entering into the mouse hole, knocking them out. The flashlight that Jerry used it to pushed the rooster is stumbled around and it's triggered the switch on, shining on the rooster which make rooster crowed again and Jerry shut on the rooster's beak in 2 times to prevent it from getting waked Tom again.
Recognizing the rooster's extraordinary talent, Jerry seizes the opportunity to torment Tom, using the rooster to disturb his sleep multiple times. Frustrated, Tom eventually traps the rooster in a birdcage to get some much-needed rest. However, Jerry has more tricks up his sleeve. While Tom sleeps, Jerry shines a flashlight on the rooster, causing the cage to break apart and waking Tom with a start.
Thinking quickly, Jerry scurries to a disc player and positions the rooster near a microphone. He cranks up the volume, and just as Tom rushes into the room, the rooster lets out a thunderous crow that echoes around the world, capturing the attention of mice from far-off places like France and Japan, as well as the circus truck, which quickly turns around to reclaim its loud star.
Amid the chaos, Tom covers his ears in shock and turns to Jerry with an expression of disbelief, while Jerry laughs gleefully at his predicament. Just as it seems Jerry is in control, he fails to notice the circus crew approaching to retrieve their prize rooster.
Ultimately, the circus comes back for the rooster, leaving Jerry empty-handed in his quest to annoy Tom. The episode concludes with Tom chasing after Jerry, who nonchalantly shrugs at the audience just before the screen fades out, accompanied by the familiar sounds of mayhem from their home.

Trivia[]
- The plot is inspired by an Tex Avery cartoon, Cock-a-Doodle Dog.
- The plot of the episode shares similaraties to 1951 Tex Avery cartoon, which had a sleep-deprived Butch Dog who just wants some shut-eye, and a rooster driven by his natural instincts to crow interrupting the dog's sleep. The same happens in this episode where Tom wants to sleep, but is kept awake by Jerry who uses the escaped rooster to interrupts his sleep.
