Monty the Wild Duck is a character only appearing in the Tom and Jerry cartoon The Duck Doctor. He is a wild baby duckling who wants to fly with his flock to the south until he gets hurt by Tom's gunshots, but Jerry heals him with bandages the best he can so he can get back to flying with his flock. Instead of the yellow duckling Quacker, the little wild duck appears in the cartoon.

The duck is a mallard duckling is notably a tad bigger than Jerry, and likely slightly taller than Quacker as well (since he and Jerry are about the same size).

Personality[]

He is seen to be timid, naive, dramatic, distressed, and determined by doing best to fly back to his flock, even though with his injuries and condition.

  • Just like Quacker, the Wild Duck has a "duck voice" similar to Disney's Donald Duck, and is voiced by Red Coffey.
  • Fans sometimes mistake the Wild Duck with Quacker due to both of them having identical designs, though they are two different duck characters.
