Wrecking Ball is the twentieth episode of Tom and Jerry in New York.
Synopsis[]
Tom chases Jerry into a construction site, where a building is marked for demolition.
Plot[]
During a nice-looking sunny day in New York, Jerry is starving. He spots Tom receiving a pretzel from the hot-dog vendor. Jerry tries to approach Tom, but he gets stomped by the crowd. People are gathering around the vendor to purchase something to eat. Tom steps back to enjoy his meal only to discover, that Jerry snatched it. The chase after Jerry leads Tom to the subway, where he gets beaten up and thrown away by rats. Tom finds Jerry around a fence, which turns out to be a demolition zone. The protagonists ignore the warning sign and run into an abandoned tenement block marked for removal.
Tom collapses inside the stairs he attempts to run upwards. He manages to reach the floor above with difficulties. When he tries to open a window to bring in light, dust blinds him temporarily, but also reveals Jerry. Tom corners the mouse until they see a shadow of the web, which scares Tom as both sigh in relief, Tom notices a spider and tries to smash, this got him to stumble upon a old slab that causes him to fall down in one story. Tom finds a ladder to get out, when Jerry noticed that Tom is coming, Jerry throws a Ironer into Tom's mouth, he swallows into him, causing him to fall under a deeper floor away from Jerry. Tom stumbles upon a bath with a working shower that sprays water at him. Tom finds a dumbwaiter that he use the freight elevator to lift back to the floor he was in, as the Jerry is draws on a dusty frame and doodles a picture of Tom, as the real Tom appears in front him, Tom chases him that got him slipping in the frame to back in the lower floor he came from. To make it back to the floor, Tom uses the objects (such old boxes, and furniture) around him. Tom makes it out, Jerry laughs but not for long, Jerry runs through the window as Tom follows him behind, as Jerry climbs up the stair from the balcony, Tom climbs the same ladder that couldn't support even his weight, he falls to mattress to bouncing from it and tires to shattering after landing his head on bricks.
Jerry laughs from roof, Tom uses a derrick to hit Jerry with its wrecking ball, To Jerry's dismay, he avoid the wrecking ball by jumping from building to building a each of them are getting demolished by it, Jerry falls in a roof to a section of the building, as Tom was about to hit Jerry with the wrecking bal Jerry, the derrick runs out of fuel, Jerry goes inside a mouse hole of a building, Tom has to resorts on running inside the abandon building. as to his dismay, this building will be set for demolished by using a TNT box to blow up the place as an construction worker is about to use it. Jerry sneaks by the stairs and attempts to run out the building, Tom finally catches Jerry, until the whole building collapses, with Tom and Jerry getting under the rubble of bricks, the two call it truce and split a pretzel together for them to eat.

Trivia[]
- The interior of the building that Tom and Jerry walk into is the same as Rick and Ginger's house from The Tom and Jerry Show, albeit remodeled to look dilapidated.
- At the beginning of this episode, we see one of the titular characters get food and the other titular character takes it off them, making him retaliate. This had been previously shown in Put a Ring On It.
