Wuff and Sammy Squirrel from Tom & Jerry #73 Dell Comics 1950
Wuff the Prairie Dog is a recurring comic book character from the Dell run of MGM Tom & Jerry comics. He had his own regular recurring series of stories. His first appearance was in Our Gang #17 Dell comics 1945.
Regular Cast[]
Wuff's best friend is Sammy Squirrel. The antagonists they faced include Charlie Coyote and Butch Badger. Supporting characters include Wuff's mother (possibly nameless) and Fluff, his girlfriend.
International versions[]
- In the Mexican comics from Editorial Novaro, Wuff was renamed Gufi. Sometimes Gufi co-billed with Charlie Coyote renamed El Zorro Filoso. (The Sharp Fox)
- In the French comics from Sagedition, they decided Sammy deserved co-billing and the pair were renamed as Flic et Floc.
- In the Nakke comics series from Semic, they also decided Sammy deserved co-billing as the pair were renamed Manu ja Tanu.

Wuff appears in most, if not all, of the Our Gang, Our Gang with Tom & Jerry and Tom & Jerry comics from issue #17 on throughout the Dell era and a few during the Gold Key/Whitman era.
